What is a CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. This system of agriculture has been developed to connect people to a local farm and farmer. When you purchase a share, you enter into a community with other CSA members and the farmer centered around the farm. You also are investing in the farm with your money, during the season your money is returned to you in the form of healthy and fresh produce that you pick up each week. Your share is a statement that you support local agriculture and you feel strongly in how your food is grown.
What you get with your Blandford CSA share?
CSA members get to pick up their share of produce grown using organic methods each week from the beginning of June through the end of October. The produce members receive is what is currently in season and grown on the farm. Each share is roughly enough to supply a family of four with their produce needs each week. Each week a newsletter will come with the share with recipes, information about what is in your share, and some farm updates. We also have opportunities for members to get to know each other and their farm through on farm events.
Contact farmer Aaron by email or phone if you have any questions about the CSA. He can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org
