What is a CSA?
Not familiar with CSA? CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. This system of agriculture has been developed to connect people to a local farm and farmer. When you become a member of a CSA farm, you enter into a community with other CSA members and the farmer centered around the farm. You also form a commitment, saying you will support the farm financially and you support what we do. In exchange for member's support, the farm grows produce which is then distributed to the members. The members are then able to enjoy locally grown, fresh produce all from their own farm.
How does the Blandford CSA Work?
Each week the members of the CSA will be able to pick up their weekly share of the produce. The produce members receive is what is currently in season and grown on the farm. Produce will be able to be picked up from the beginning of June till the end of October. The goal of the Blandford farm is to produce enough produce to supply a family of 4 for a week. Another goal of the farm is to form a community for the members to belong to through different events, workdays, and recipe sharing.
