Nature in Action for Homeschoolers

Designed just for homeschooling families, Nature in Action is a series of 90-minute monthly sessions that provide seasonally-based, age-appropriate education focused on developing critical thinking skills and appreciation for the natural world.

Nature in Action helps children explore their natural environment in a hands-on learning experience. Three age groups are offered to appropriately engage and challenge learners:

• Acorns: Four to six years old
• Sprouts: Seven to nine years old
• Mighty Oaks: 10 to 13 years old, with advanced programming also offered separately for students with a deeper interest.
  
• Students older than 13 are invited to participate in service learning opportunities, such as our Volunteer Youth Group during afternoon sessions. 

Each class cost $8.00. Members receive a 10% discount off the cost of classes. To have your child engage and learn through Nature in Action, click on the link and fill out the on-line form http://tinyurl.com/3qfddup. Once you have filled out and submitted the on-line form, our registrar will contact you via email within a few days to confirm your registration. Payment is due within two weeks of the registrar confirming with you. You can also print and mail this form: 11-12 Home School Registration.pdf. Mail completed form with your payment to 1715 Hillburn Ave. NW Grand Rapids, MI 49504.

Note: A student's age group is determined by their age as of September 30, 2010. To ensure consistent student/educator ratios, a child cannot change age groups during the year.
