Farmhand Helpers: Plant the Children’s Garden

Join us for this special edition of our Farmhand Helpers program! Come help us transplant and direct seed in the Children’s Garden! This is a great opportunity for kids themselves to get involved with the garden from the very beginning. Come anytime between 10am and 12pm and stay for as long as you like; each registered group will get to take home a plant start of their very own.

Additional Information: Online pre-registration is encouraged to reserve your spots. We cannot guarantee spots will be available if you drop-in the morning of the program, as registration is first come, first serve. Please call the morning of the program if you would like to drop-in to ensure openings are available at 616-735-6240. Look for our staff person in the fenced Children’s Garden space next to the greenhouse. Program registration fee covers all day admission to Blandford Nature Center (includes trails, Visitors Center, Wildlife Education Center, etc).

Member Child: $11
Non-Member Child: $13
Member Adult: Free (registration still required)
Non-Member Adult: $5 (price of admission)
2 and Under: Free (registration still required)

Staff may take card payments or exact change. Plant start cost is included in program registration.

Each registered child is required to have a registered adult accompany them for this program.

Please note there are NO BATHROOMS AT THE FARM from November to March and only port-a-potties available from April to October. The nearest full-service bathrooms are at the Blandford Visitor Center, a 10-15 minute walk or 2 minute drive away.

Please Note: This program will take place indoors and outdoors. In the event of severe weather, the program will be cancelled and participants will be notified of their refund options.
