Fall Natural Dye Workshop & Hike
Pre-registration is required to attend this program. Online registration closes at 12pm the day before the program, unless it is sold out first. If this program is sold out, please complete online registration to be added to the waitlist. You will not be charged to be added to the waitlist. We will contact you if spots become available.
Join us on this spooky autumn evening for a night of natural dye sourced from the Blandford Farm! Depending on plant availability, we will dye silk handkerchiefs with black walnuts, marigolds, amaranth, or have more than one dye bath. We’ll try a few different relief design methods and take a night hike as we wait for the dye to saturate the cloth. This program will meet in the Learning Lab.
This program has limited spots, and pre-registration is required. This program is intended for adults and teens ages 13 and older.

Please Note: This program will take place indoors and outdoors. In the event of severe weather, the program will be cancelled and participants will be notified of their refund options.
COVID-19 Information: As of January 1, 2023, face coverings are not required while participating in programs indoors or outdoors at Blandford. Blandford continues to monitor local COVID rates and reserves the right to reinstate masking requirements for staff, general visitors, and program participants of all ages, regardless of vaccination status, if community health concerns arise. Blandford will notify program participants if this policy changes before a scheduled program takes place. Participants should not attend a program if they show any signs of infectious illness, including cough, fever, headache, runny nose, vomiting or diarrhea.
Cancellation Policy: Notice must be received at least 7 days before the scheduled program to receive a 75% refund. Due to processing fees, full refunds are not available. There will be no refunds issued after that time. All Community Programs will be held unless there is severe weather. Please come prepared for the elements as refunds are not available for weather-related conditions except in the case of severe weather. All Community Programs will have a registrant minimum. If the minimum is not met, you will be contacted by Blandford Nature Center and notified of your refund options.
