Backyard Sugaring

Do you have a maple tree in your yard? Tap into that maple syrup gold mine! Join our Farm Programs Specialist, Sarah, as she walks you through the process of collecting and cooking syrup. Learn the sugaring process and get information on essential supplies and where to acquire them to tap the maple trees in your own backyard! This program will meet in the Environmental Education Center.

This program is recommended for ages 13 and up.

Please Note: This program will take place indoors and outdoors. In the event of severe weather, the program will be cancelled and participants will be notified of their refund options.

Cancellation Policy: Notices received at least 7 days before the scheduled program are eligible to receive a 50% refund. Due to processing fees, full refunds are not available. Cancellations within 7 days of a program are not eligible for a refund. Please come prepared for the elements as refunds are not available for weather-related conditions except in the case of severe weather. If Blandford cancels a program due to severe weather, you will have two options: transfer your registration to the reschedule date or donate your registration fee. In the event we are unable to reschedule the program, full refunds will be available. All community programs will have a registrant minimum. If the minimum is not met, you will be contacted by Blandford Nature Center and notified of your refund options.
