Block Printing Patterns with Solstice Handmade

Join Dayna Walton of Solstice Handmade to learn the basics of block printing! We will cover carving techniques and composition strategy to make and print bold repeating patterns. Be sure to wear clothes that can get inky. Feel free to bring your own paper or fabric to print on! All printmaking tools (brayers, carving tools, etc.) will be provided but may need to be shared. Other materials provided for free include: 6″ square linoleum block to carve, newsprint for test prints and practice, bandana to print, and ink.

This program is for adults only, ages 18 and up.

Please Note: This program will be held entirely indoors. All participants will be required to wear masks, regardless of vaccination status.

COVID-19 Information: As of August 23, 2021, in accordance with CDC recommendations, Blandford Nature Center requires all staff, visitors, and program participants ages 2 and up to wear masks while inside all buildings, regardless of vaccination status. Masks are also required indoors and outdoors for all guests participating in a mixed-age community program where attendees are from multiple households.
