Extinct Embroidery with Solstice Handmade: The Lost Sunflower

Join Solstice Handmade for an evening of stitching and socializing. We’ll show you everything you need to know to stich “The Lost Sunflower,” Helianthus praetermissus, an extinct species of sunflower native to New Mexico and unseen since 1851. This workshop is fit for both beginners and sewing pros. You will learn the basics of embroidery, including 4 stitches, and you will practice them by stitching a printed pattern. You will leave with a partially completed embroidery, everything you need to know to finish, and a new creative addiction. All supplies included.
