SOLD OUT: Indigenous Foraging & Cooking Class

Join indigenous chef, Camren Stott, at Blandford Nature Center for a program about decolonized food pathways, food sovereignty, and foraging! This is an interactive and immersive program. Participants will be hands on in harvesting, foraging, preparing, and enjoying a modern indigenous meal. Participants will also learn edible wild plant identification and safety (how to harvest and prepare correctly) and how to incorporate this knowledge in modern culinary practice.

Your chef and facilitator, Camren Stott, is a member of The Kent County Food Policy Council.

Registrations must be received by October 3rd in order to obtain adequate supplies and ingredients.

*Please bring a blanket and/or camp chair for sitting. You will also need your own plate, cup, and utensils.

*This program involves hiking to and from the Highlands, please come prepared for a moderate level of activity.

$39 non-members

Please Note: This program will take place entirely outdoors. In the event of inclement weather, this program will be canceled, and participants will be notified of their refund options.
