Outdoor Enrichment for Blandford’s Wildlife

Help our Wildlife Manager provide enrichment to some of Blandford’s wildlife in the beautiful outdoors! We will be looking for branches near the trails to turn into new bird perches. We will then wrap the perches with sisal rope and artificial grass and watch the Wildlife Manager install the perches you made. We will also take Quillber, our North American porcupine, on a short walk, sit outside with some of our turtles and toad to get give them natural sun time, and go on short hike with one of our American kestrels.

An adult chaperone is required to register and attend this program.  This program is recommended for families with children ages 8+.

Please Note: This program will take place outdoors. In the event of inclement weather, this program will be canceled, and participants will be notified of their refund options. All participants are required to wear masks for the duration of the program and will be expected to stay socially distanced as much as possible.

Covid-19 Information: In accordance with current CDC guidelines and State of Michigan COVID regulations, Blandford Nature Center requires all staff, visitors, and program participants ages 2 and up to wear masks while inside all buildings and for the duration of all programs both inside and outside, regardless of vaccination status.
