Poetry Hike

Nature has been a universal inspiration for poetry across time, language and culture. During this hike, we will explore a deeper connection to nature by reading and writing poetry while on the trail. We will focus on one sense at a time to bring awareness to all the ways we can experience nature and how these senses and experiences can shape our poems. We will balance movement on the trail with time to reflect and write. Please come prepared with sturdy walking shoes, appropriate outerwear, a pen/pencil and a notebook. Also, please be prepared to turn your phone off for the duration of our time together.
