Science Lab: Velocity

Online pre-registration is required to reserve your spots due to limited supplies. Online registration closes the day before at 12pm. If this program is sold out, please complete online registration to be added to the waitlist. You will not be charged to be added to the waitlist. We will contact you if spots become available.

How can a peregrine falcon manage to catch prey out of the air at 200 miles per hour? By harnessing the power of velocity! In this Blandford science lab, we’ll work on harnessing speed and direction to create an awesome marble roller-coaster track. Please stop in at the Visitor Center to find out where we will be meeting.

Please note that this program is designed for children ages 7-12 and their caregivers. All registered children must be accompanied by a registered adult.

Cancellation Policy: Notices received at least 7 days before the scheduled program are eligible to receive a 50% refund. Due to processing fees, full refunds are not available. Cancellations within 7 days of a program are not eligible for a refund. Please come prepared for the elements as refunds are not available for weather-related conditions except in the case of severe weather. If Blandford cancels a program due to severe weather, you will have two options: transfer your registration to the reschedule date or donate your registration fee. In the event we are unable to reschedule the program, full refunds will be available. All community programs will have a registrant minimum. If the minimum is not met, you will be contacted by Blandford Nature Center and notified of your refund options.
