STEAM with Wildlife: Art with the Animals

Share your artistic skills with the animals! We will be creating some artwork for the wall behind the Southern Flying Squirrels. Afterwards we will learn about some of the tracks, or foot prints, that Blandford’s animals can make. Then we will see those tracks firsthand when they paint with their feet on paper. Participants will get to take a piece of the animal tracks artwork home.

This program is recommended for families with children aged 4-12.

Please Note: This program will take place mainly outdoors, but will have an indoor portion for the safety and comfort of our animals. In the event of severe weather, the entire program will be held indoors. All participants will be required to wear masks and groups will be socially distanced by family units.

Covid-19 Information: In accordance with current CDC guidelines and State of Michigan COVID regulations, Blandford Nature Center requires all staff, visitors, and program participants ages 2 and up to wear masks while inside all buildings and for the duration of all programs both inside and outside, regardless of vaccination status. If you or someone you are registering for a program cannot medically tolerate a mask, you must contact our Program Manager prior to booking a program. To contact our Program Manager (Ashley), please call 616-735-6240, ext. 102, or email ashley@blandfordnaturecenter.org.
