Public Volunteers

For individuals or groups that would like to attend an open volunteer event.

This volunteer option is for individuals or groups that would like to help out at an open volunteer event, like Eco-Stewardship Work Days, Farm Work Days, Flower Power Crew and Festivals without becoming a registered Blandford Nature Center volunteer.

Please keep in mind that while a Volunteer Application does not need to be completed, you will still be required to sign a Liability Waiver at these volunteer events. If you are interested in volunteering at any of our smaller, more intimate Community Programs and events, you are required to fill out an application and pass a background check.

Flower Power Crew

The Flower Power Crew is a fun, weekly volunteer opportunity for volunteers to meet at the Farm and help to maintain our cut flower beds by helping us to deadhead, prune, weed and harvest cut flowers.  We will provide training, so no experience is necessary!  If you have your own tools (pruning shears, etc.) you are more than welcome to bring them, but we have tools at the farm that you can use as well.

What to wear? Please make sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes that can get wet and dirty. Always dress for the weather. Bring a water bottle. A hat is always a great idea at the farm as well!
