This volunteer option is for individuals or groups that would like to help out at an open volunteer event, like Eco-Stewardship Work Days, Farm Work Days, Flower Power Crew and Festivals without becoming a registered Blandford Nature Center volunteer.
Please keep in mind that while a Volunteer Application does not need to be completed, you will still be required to sign a Liability Waiver at these volunteer events. If you are interested in volunteering at any of our smaller, more intimate Community Programs and events, you are required to fill out an application and pass a background check.
Eco-Stewardship Work Days
Eco-Stewardship Work Days focus on habitat restoration, trail maintenance, stream clean-up and removal of invasive species. Education is a key aspect with instruction not only on removal but also on identification of several native Michigan plant species and general ecology. What to Wear? Long pants and closed toe shoes are mandatory. Layers and hats are always encouraged.
Age Requirements: This is a public volunteer opportunity for people 14+. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Farm Work Days
Farm Work Days give Blandford volunteers an opportunity to get involved at the Blandford Farm. Farm Work Days range from weeding and planting in the Children’s Garden and Isla’s Garden, to helping out in our CSA production field.

Flower Power Crew
The Flower Power Crew is a fun, weekly volunteer opportunity for volunteers to meet at the Farm and help deadhead, cut and arrange floral bouquets for the Blandford Farm table at the Fulton Street Farmers Market.
